Discover the lesser-known parts of our history and see the places where the Island’s historic Black community lived and thrived. This program is funded by the PEI Government Anti-Racism Grant, in partnership with the PEI Black Cultural Society.

ObjectivesTo gain a better understanding and awareness of Black History on Prince Edward Island.
Teaching ProcessGroup Meets in front of Beaconsfield Historic House to begin the tour. It is a walking tour that takes approximately 45 minutes. Make sure to dress for appropriate weather.
