Bach: Suites and Partitas for Keyboard (Queens County)
A sampling of the 6 French Suites, 6 English Suites, 6 Partitas and the French Overture written for the keyboard approximately 300 years ago. Through discussion, and live and recorded performances of sections or entire excerpts from these works, members will appreciate and have a better understanding of the masterful composition of these suites.

| Requirements | No previous knowledge is required, only an interest in learning about some of the keyboard music of the greatest composer at the climax of the Baroque period in music. A short questionnaire may be used to determine the musical experience of the class and to help dictate at what level the course should be presented. |

Dr. Frances Gray is Professor Emerita in the UPEI Music Department where she taught piano and music theory for forty-five years. During her career she performed many solo and chamber, music concerts as well as radio broadcasts. |
