Dance - Introduction to Argentine Tango Dancing (Queens County)
Discover the beauty and culture of Argentine tango dancing in this introductory course designed for beginner seniors. We will explore the basics of the tango walk, the embrace, lead and follow techniques, and the musicality and etiquette of the social dance floor (milonga).

Requirements | Interest in learning to dance the tango and exploring a cultural tradition.
Prior experience and dance partner are not required.
Shoes: the sole is flexible and smooth. |

Shirley has been an enthusiastic student of the tango for the past 7 years. From her very first class, she fell in love with this beautiful dance. Since 2023, she have been travelling to Quebec and Nova Scotia to further her study and to participate in tango parties called milongas. She is excited to share her love with the students of Seniors College. |
